About NextPhase Auto

We began as a local mobile diagnostic service on the Gold Coast, helping customers work through vehicle problems on-site.

We still do that work when needed.

But we’ve seen how difficult diagnostics can become — especially with modern vehicles. Techs and customers often spend hours searching through forums like iATN, Diagnostic Network, Audi forums and others, reading dozens of replies, trying to piece together what might apply to their specific case. Sometimes the advice helps. Sometimes it leads down the wrong path. Either way, it still falls back on the person doing the work to sort through it all.

That’s why we’re shifting our main focus to something new.

NextMove Remote Case Review is a structured case review service — built from the ground up to help customers get a clearer second look at difficult or confusing faults.

You send the details of your vehicle and what’s happening. We review the full picture as another set of eyes — helping organise what the evidence appears to support, what doesn’t fit yet, what’s still missing, and what checks might be worth doing next.

It’s not a magic answer. It’s not here to replace anyone’s judgement. It’s simply a practical way to bring some structure to messy cases so decisions can be made with a bit more clarity.

A scan tool reads the vehicle. NextMove reads the case. The person working on the vehicle remains the authority.

This is a brand new service, and we’re still in the early testing phase. We’re genuinely excited to see how it can help customers save time and reduce frustration on tough jobs.

Local mobile diagnostic support is still available when needed, but NextMove represents where we are heading — a more focused way to support vehicle owners and technicians through complex diagnostics.

How NextMove Helps

You send through the details of the vehicle and what you’ve already checked. NextMove reviews the full picture with you — what currently fits, what doesn’t add up, what’s still missing, and the most useful next step worth trying.

It’s not another guess or magic answer. It’s structured, practical support built from real-world diagnostic experience.

Useful for:

  • Intermittent faults that come and go
  • Cases where new parts haven’t fixed the problem
  • Scan data that doesn’t match real-world behaviour
  • Deciding whether a vehicle is worth the repair investment

NextMove won’t pretend to know what the evidence doesn’t support. Send what you have — if more detail is needed for a useful review, we’ll let you know exactly what would help most.

Services

Pre and Post Scan Health checks.

These are the scans most workshops already do — but we take them further.

A proper pre-scan shows exactly what’s there before any work starts (great for protecting yourself with the customer and avoiding comebacks). A post-scan confirms everything is properly cleared and no new issues have appeared after the repair.

NextMove turns those scans into something more useful:

  • Clear explanation of what the codes and data actually mean in plain workshop language
  • What’s likely related to the customer complaint and what’s probably unrelated
  • Which codes can safely be left alone for now
  • What needs proper testing before you replace any parts
  • A practical next-step recommendation based on the full picture

Whether you’re handing the car back to the customer or just want to make sure nothing was missed, these checks help reduce surprises and give you confidence that the job is properly finished.

Useful for:

  • Customer reassurance before and after major work
  • Avoiding “it came back with the same problem” situations
  • Documenting the job properly for warranty or insurance purposes

SOH Pre-Scan Battery Health Check

  • Battery Truth, Not Just Charge Level

Most battery testers only tell you the current charge. That’s not enough when you’re dealing with hybrid or EV batteries.

Our SOH (State of Health) testing gives you a much clearer picture of the battery’s real condition and how long it’s likely to last — not just what’s showing on the charge gauge right now.

Best results come when the battery is tested around 15–18% charge.

That’s where the data is clearest and least misleading.

You’ll get a practical report that shows:

    • Overall battery condition and performance trends
    • Any imbalance between cells or modules
    • Signs of degradation or developing issues
    • Clear next-step recommendations based on real data

Battery decisions are too expensive to make on guesswork. This test helps you see what’s actually going on so you can make confident calls — whether that’s replacing the pack, balancing modules, or knowing it still has good life left.

For Vehicle Owners & DIYers

Clarity before you spend or sell

Buying, keeping, or selling a vehicle with unknown issues can be stressful and expensive.

NextMove gives you a calm, independent second look at the problem. You send through the details (what it’s doing, any codes, repair history, etc.) and I’ll help you understand:

  • What the evidence actually supports
  • What’s still unproven
  • Whether it looks like a minor fix, a bigger problem, or something you can live with
  • The next sensible steps and rough cost direction (where possible)

Whether you’re a capable DIYer wanting to fix it yourself, or an owner who just wants the straight story before deciding to repair, keep, or sell — NextMove helps you make a more confident decision without the guesswork or expensive surprises.

Send the details through, and I’ll give it a proper, honest review.

Ready for a Proper Second Look at Your Case?

You’ve been staring at this fault long enough.

The scan data doesn’t add up, the usual tests aren’t pointing clearly, and the customer wants answers yesterday. Sound familiar?

That’s exactly when having another experienced set of eyes makes all the difference.

NextMove doesn’t replace your diagnostic skills — it supports them. You stay in control. We simply help organise the mess, highlight what the evidence actually supports, and point out the next check that’s usually worth doing first.

Who this is for:

  • Workshop techs and mobile specialists are stuck on tough jobs
  • Diagnostic specialists who want to stop chasing ghosts
  • Vehicle owners and capable DIYers who want straight answers before spending serious money or making big decisions

What you’ll get back: A calm, practical review in plain workshop language — what fits, what doesn’t, what’s still missing, and the most sensible next move.

No guesswork. No pressure to replace parts. Just a clearer direction.

NextMove won’t pretend to know what the evidence doesn’t support. Send through what you have. If we need more details for a useful review, we’ll tell you exactly what would help most.
